Face Stealer

Posted:

The app Face Stealer includes various masks, including dogs, as defaults. You can also make masks yourself. You choose a photo of a face you like, and edit the contour and so on to make a mask.

The app tracks facial feature points, like this. It captures the movements of these feature points, in synch with the motion of your mouth and eyebrows. So it can change how your face looks by synthesizing the mask picture accordingly. A feature of this application is that it tracks in real time, even on a smartphone. We think there aren’t many apps that can track facial feature points using just the processing power of a smartphone. This can track your face even if you vary the angle a lot. It even tracks unusual expressions, so it’s fun to make all sorts of expressions with your mouth.

Mario Martinez (MARS-1) paints from a penetrating perspective of great depth. Viewers are drawn into his imaginative compositions, overflowing with colorful geometric and organic shapes, layered to form unique patterns and textures.

The artist signature style of vast, abstracted, quasi-extraterrestrial looking landscapes feature imagery of surreal distortions, contained within spherically convex transparent bubbles. Skillfully combining optical color blending with perspective line work, his painting techniques result in very three-dimensional forms, which echo the anatomy of architecture, and microcosmic structures of biology.

Synesthetic Locked

"Synesthesia is the involuntary and interconnected stimulation of the senses produced by a unexpected source. See sounds, feel colors, hear geometric figures, smell moments... But once you have experienced that kind of sense connections hardly you will be able to perceive something with no associations. You are synesthetic locked." Video by Lococrom

Bonobo ‘The North Borders’

It's been almost three years since the release of Bonobo's masterful, mould-breaking Black Sands, an album that saw him touring a hypnotic live show across the world for well over a year. Now, in 2013, he stands ready to take things up yet another notch.

The North Borders is a long stride forward - both a natural evolution and a continuation of the electronic palette of Black Sands. Thematic, resonant, addictive and perfectly formed, it's a thrillingly coherent statement piece.

The first track unveiled from the album is "Cirrus" - watch the Cyriak-directed video here
